ABOUT

I have extensive experience in electronic engineering and product development. This experience includes analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, stepper motor controllers, robotics, precision ADC’s, switching and linear power, spatial light modulators, uninterruptable power supplies, ac resonant transformers and high voltage in the 10 kilowatt range (just for fun). My experience also includes USB 2, USB 3, USB-C, Li-Ion, LiFeP04 battery charging and fuel gauging. Also, battery pack design and certification – I have also personally toured a half dozen battery factories in China.

I have deep expertise designing printed circuit boards, high speed up to 25 gigabits/sec, impedance control, differential pairs, line length matching, ultra quiet analog, and designs for low radiation EMI/EMC performance that pass agency testing. I am familiar with the latest manufacturing techniques and work closely with PCB fabricators to optimize designs for manufacturability.

I have expertise in the biomedical device industry developing in vitro diagnostic and clinical chemistry analyzers. I am well versed in IEC-61010/60601, FCC Part 15 emissions requirements as well as CE, UL and certification testing. I have hands on experience in 10 Meter chambers reviewing spectrum analyzer results and making on-site adjustments when needed to obtain passing results.
